In February, Saltergate Brownies handed over 5,480 Christmas Cards to Captain Rummage as part of our "Changing the World" badge.
We would like to thank the congregation of St. Wilfrid's who have helped the unit with the recycling challenge. We are very happy to receive any used stamps, foreign coins, mobile phones, spectacles or Taylor's Tea Tokens.
On the night we handed over the Christmas Cards, we also handed over a large amount of the recycled material and we were able to buy a Camel for Oxfam to donate to a Third World family, with the £95 we raised.

Last Wednesday, Saltergate Brownies had Hannah from St Micheal's Hospice in Harrogate come to give the girls a talk where she was presented with a £100 donation from the Brownies carol singing at Asda last December. This is part of the "Changing the world" challenge which the girls are undertaking as part of the Girlguiding Association centenary celebrations.
The girls have also collected 4,320 Christmas cards which will be given to the Woodlands Trust to recycle as part of the "Changing the World" challenge.
Saltergate Brownies girls collect on an ongoing basis any old mobile phones, postage stamps, spectacles, foreign coins, ink cartridges (not Epsom) and Taylor's Tea Tokens, which they exchange for craft items from the Cone Exchange in Starbeck.
Any donations can be sent to the Parish Office or telephone the leader to arrange collection.
