Scout News January/February '08
With the New Year barely a week old ten of our Scouts attended a winter camp at Thornthwaite. Here they joined with seventy others from across the county, taking part in activities such as climbing, cycle orienteering and a guided caving tour. All had an enjoyable weekend and look forward to many more nights under canvas.
We have also welcomed a number of new members bringing our numbers up to around 35. This poses other challenges keeping an ever-growing number interested and involved in our scouting programme. Over the years though our leader team have become fully aware that the basic needs of Scouts throughout have been fun, excitement and responsibility. Here’s to another successful year.

The Scout Group has welcomed several new members into all the sections; hopefully, they will thoroughly enjoy their time in the Scouting movement.
The Group’s committee will be very active this year raising funds so that all sections can fully participate in and enjoy all the activities on offer this year.
